Ashley is an emerging filmmaker and editor whose work bridges curiosity, creativity, and a passion for the natural world. With a background in oceanography and a degree in science filmmaking, she combines scientific expertise with the art of storytelling to craft impactful narratives.

 

Much of Ashley's experience has been in post-production, contributing to various non-profit projects and a National Geographic series. Her goal is to create films that provoke thought and inspire curiosity in how we engage with the planet.

Why Hornbill Media? Having been born in Sarawak, Malaysia, the Land of Hornbills, Ashley has always yearned for a way to stay connected to that half of her family, heritage, and culture. To preserve and incorporate that part of her life into her now Montana lifestyle, she has decided to embed it into her livelihood and art.
